When it comes to health and wellness of employees amidst the ongoing pandemic, our priority is to help our people build resilience, feel appreciated, and continue to be highly engaged and motivated at work.
Boutique BPO company TDCX, being aware of this and as the leading BPO that holds one of the highest employee satisfaction rates, greeted 2021 with a more hopeful perspective — fervently keeping their promise of a happier, more positive environment for their employees and strengthening each other’s connection, literally and figuratively, as they rang the new year in.
A redesigned office experience is one of many ways in which the pandemic has impacted the workplace. However, TDCX believes that the new normal set-up should not only allow people to work but also to have fun in a fully digital environment.
With this in mind, TDCX gathered its employees and their families virtually to enjoy the company’s annual kick-off party, themed “Padayon!” or “Carry on!” The kickoff party was a two-day celebration held on January 29 and 30. The much-anticipated event had two goals: to celebrate the victory amid a pandemic-stricken operation and to remind everyone of the value of staying connected despite the distance.
‘Padayon’ is a battle cry that invigorates everyone to move forward together, especially during these troubling times. It also talks about perseverance to sustain relationships and get quality work done in the pandemic.
The kick-off party offered various online festivities such as science-themed events for kids, an online bingo activity for the adults, and a recognition event to award their top-performing employees. The celebration was capped off by a live performance from OPM rock band Parokya Ni Edgar.
Staying connected — at a distance
2020 saw events that unequivocally brought drastic change across businesses around the globe and have changed the world of work forever.
TDCX had to send most of its teams to their respective homes so they could still work without the threat of COVID-19. The distance was inevitable, but it was business as usual after they helped most of their employees relegate their work set-ups to their homes. More importantly, the company has also maintained its commitment to provide a nurturing and healthy culture for its employees by bringing its #BeHappier campaign online.
TDCX has been actively keeping their employees’ morale up and engaged. Last year, they continuously conducted wellness seminars, informative webinars, and other various online activities to support the well-being of their employees during a time of intense disruption.
Social distancing and remote working can drive people apart, but TDCX sees it as an opportunity for its employees to strengthen their emotional and social skills to ensure more effective collaboration, strengthen business relationships, and make connections. Checking on others makes them feel more connected while also building a sense of belonging.
To unleash the power of human potential and remain an employer of choice during these unprecedented times, the BPO company believes that it is vital to understand their employees’ state of well-being. They need to engage in meaningful, transformative conversations and develop new support programs that can help employees build resilience, embrace mindfulness, and strengthen career well-being for an evolving future.
