The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has recently conferred CEMEX Philippines’ facilities with the Safety Seal as an affirmation of the company’s commitment to ensure a healthy and safe operations.
The DOLE granted the Safety Seal to CEMEX Philippines Solid Cement Plant in Antipolo City, the Apo Cement Plant in the City of Naga, Cebu, its Warehouses in warehouses Bulacan, Muntinlupa City and in the Bicol Region, namely Legaspi, Naga, Tabaco and Pasacao.
The DOLE Safety Seal Certification confirms CEMEX’s compliance with the minimum public health standards set by the government in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and has even reinforced this with additional health protocols.
Health and Safety (H&S) remains to be the top priority at CEMEX. Over the years, the company has been actively engaging its employees with the highest Health and Safety standards. This same standard was applied during the current COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 50 additional hygiene and safety protocols that were implemented to minimize the risk of contagion.

DOLE representatives from Regions 3 and 5 and at the national level have presented the Safety Seals to CEMEX leaders. At the Solid Cement Plant, DOLE Director Marivic Martinez and Engr. Gabriel Ardivilla presented the award to Carlito Merencillo, Production Manager, together with HR and H&S team members: Gerard Gem Gamelong, Rainer Perez and Kyle Jared Jabines. At the Apo Cement Plant, DOLE region 7 representatives presented the seal to Apo Plant Director Gery Rota.
