Cancer champions from the Department of Health, the medical community, and patient advocates gather in time for Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) Awareness Month, to raise awareness and bring better understanding on prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of HNC. Present during the forum (from left to right) were Engr. Jojo Flores, patient advocate and HNC cancer survivor; Engr. Emer Rojas, National Council on Disability Affairs Executive Director and HNC cancer survivor; Dr. Clarito Cairo, DOH Program Manager for Cancer; Dr. Laura Pedraza, medical oncologist at St. Luke’s Medical Center and Mr. Wilson Flores, moderator. The forum held at Kamuning Bakery Cafe is part of the Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month celebration and is supported by Hope from Within, the cancer advocacy program of MSD in the Philippines.
